Make the Maze Callable

DISPATCH  ·  LOGGED WITH MAI

Meta’s WhatsApp Business Tools MCP sounds technical, but the useful change is practical: an agent can guide a business through the setup that used to require someone who knew every trap.

There is an account to create, a number to verify, a Cloud API registration, a template to draft, a test message to send, and a webhook to configure. Miss a prerequisite and the whole thing can fail quietly.

That is the work most teams pretend is not work.

Every company has a version of it. The CRM integration that “exists” but nobody trusts. The customer messaging channel that needs one more approval. The analytics dashboard that breaks because the field names changed. The workflow that is technically possible and operationally abandoned.

Agents will not fix that by being smarter.

They need the maze to become callable.

That means clear steps, scoped permissions, visible logs, human approval at the right points, and failure states that do not disappear into someone’s memory.

If setup still depends on one person knowing where all the traps are, the workflow is not ready for an agent. It is barely ready for a team.

The next adoption advantage belongs to products and internal systems that make the boring path explicit enough to run.

Start with the workflow everyone avoids setting up. Write down where it stalls, then decide which steps an agent can safely take.
