Put the Manager on the Calendar

Anthropic’s Frontier Academy asks engineers to carry a real project through a 12-week residency. Good. I’d copy that requirement even if my team never gets a seat.

Put the process owner on the calendar before anyone enrolls. Every Friday, bring a handful of actual drafts and the corrections they needed. Include the minutes a supervisor spent reviewing them; the model’s speed doesn’t erase that time.

An engineer can build a reply assistant. They can’t decide which policy exceptions the service team is allowed to approve. If the manager who can make that call is too busy to look at the work, the project will stall in that manager’s inbox.
