Ask Why She Changed It
DISPATCH · LOGGED WITH MAI
Your best designer fixes the AI draft before anyone else sees the problem. The campaign goes out. Next week, she’s fixing it again.
Canva says its designers helped evaluate Craft, comparing more than 25,000 image pairs with researchers. When automated evaluations disagreed with designers, Canva says it followed the designers.
At your next campaign review, ask the designer to leave the original headline beside her correction and explain what changed. “More on-brand” won’t teach anyone much. “We promised a discount the offer doesn’t include” will.
Keep that explanation with the brief. On the next assignment, see whether someone catches the same mistake before it reaches her desk. I’d count that before counting how many drafts the AI produced.
