Write Out the Red Exception

DISPATCH  ·  LOGGED WITH MAI

Suppose your refund policy marks exceptions in red. Everyone on the support team knows red means “ask the manager.” The assistant gets a plain-text copy.

I’d check what survived the export before testing its replies.

Write the approval requirement into the rule itself. Then give the assistant a sample request that falls under the exception and inspect its draft. Keep the customer out of this test.

Tonight’s Signal makes the case for letting process owners maintain AI instructions in a familiar editor. That handoff still needs a check on what the assistant actually receives.

Have the support manager read the exported version without the colors. If they need the original beside it to explain which refunds require approval, the instructions need another edit.
